Sunday

U.S. Library of Congress. Norman Rockwell Art - The Golden Rule

This saying or a close form of it is found in many faith traditions from Confucius,  Judaism, Christianity, and probably many others. Whatever your personal beliefs, this is something we can all do our bit to work towards … especially being respectful and kind to one another. Why is something so simply and beautifully stated, so hard to do?

Hope your Sunday is a peaceful and start to a good week. No matter what is going on with you or in your community, we’re all in this together. It is our world and it is what we make it.

Please leave a comment below if you would like to share a positive in your life.  ~ terre

Humanity

We Bleed the Same Color...NeedThis has been a very hard month, but especially this last week. We have all seen events that we thought we would never see again in the United States. My heart breaks and all this is so much to process and overwhelming. So please excuse my silence until now. Please join in the many prayers that people will unite, protect, and truly care for one another regardless of color, creed, spiritual beliefs, gender, or profession. We are all part of humanity.

Compassion

the Nurse

Whether it is to welcome new life into the world, or to help do whatever can be done to ease the pain or suffering of one at their most vulnerable moments; there truly is no greater privilege than to be with you during your time of need.

Encouragement

Be Gentle With Yourself, You're Doing the Best You Can.

Whether you are doing your part by staying in social distancing, working to serve others or taking care of your family; don’t be too hard on yourself. Be sure to do something today just for you. Maybe it’s fixing your favorite warm drink, opening a window for fresh air or listening to the birds sing… just take a moment to slow down and take a breathe. Be gentle with yourself and with those you are with. Turn off any negative self talk while doing what you have to do. You’re Doing the Best You Can! That’s all any of us can ask of someone, including ourselves.  Take care.  terre~

We’re All In This Together

What we learned in Kindergarten (2)We’re All In This Together

Another great teacher and friend of children, Mr. Fred Rogers said that in scary times to look for the helpers. It is true! If you look for the positive amidst the alarming news stories, you find incredible stories of people helping others. One story in my own local community that brought happiness to my heart was when our local sheriff’s department asked for donations of personal protection equipment of masks, gloves, etc to have available for our first responders. Before the day was out, one of our renovation construction companies had donated the needed items! So as Mr. Rogers says, look for the helpers when times are scary. Also if you have extra, please consider sharing with others in need. Curbside delivery or outside the door delivery can still be done even with social distancing. Hope all is well with you and yours.   After all, we’re all in this together.

Thank you for visiting today! Also, if you would like to see other words of encouragement please see the categories listed on this page.
