Sometimes remarks from other people are so perfect, it is just hard to improve to make them better. When I think of the things that can’t be counted, but that really matter, the first that comes to mind are bee’s and trees. How would our world be so different without them? What would be gone without pollinators? Strawberry jam for one. Maybe everything… I don’t want to find out. What other things can you think of that really count, that really matter to you, but cannot be counted?

This saying or a close form of it is found in many faith traditions from Confucius, Judaism, Christianity, and probably many others. Whatever your personal beliefs, this is something we can all do our bit to work towards … especially being respectful and kind to one another. Why is something so simply and beautifully stated, so hard to do?
Hope your Sunday is a peaceful and start to a good week. No matter what is going on with you or in your community, we’re all in this together. It is our world and it is what we make it.

Regardless of where your place in the world is, we know the world looks differently to many. But the good news is as we start to heal that we have gained wisdom from this world pandemic experience. In moving forward, what is it that you definitely want to change, do more or less of ? I have come to know the truth in that we can live with much less, which leaves more time for more important meaningful experiences and relationships in our lives. But I think I might also become less tolerant of the superficial and fake, which I will probably end up having to work on. That doesn’t mean that everything has to be deep and not light or fun. It just means there will be less response to negativity and more opportunity to focus on the positive aspects of living life with peace and calm. Please leave a comment below on what you plan to do differently?
Hope you have a day with a spot of peace and calm.
