Happy tall Black-eyed Susans that a friend and I swapped when dividing our different plants a couple of years ago. They are now blooming in great abundance this year. They love the hot summer weather… Gorgeous wildflowers! ~
This has been a very hard month, but especially this last week. We have all seen events that we thought we would never see again in the United States. My heart breaks and all this is so much to process and overwhelming. So please excuse my silence until now. Please join in the many prayers that people will unite, protect, and truly care for one another regardless of color, creed, spiritual beliefs, gender, or profession. We are all part of humanity.
Forgiveness means different things to many people. However, there are some real health benefits both physically and mentally to yourself if you can just let it go. Maybe the person who hurt you doesn’t see they did anything wrong and would never ask for forgiveness. Even if this is true, it is important to forgive them anyway, even if there is no hope for reconciliation, which is very hard. Does this mean you will forget? No, it means that you have decided to forgive them because you need it for yourself, so that you can move on with your life. Even if you can’t change how others see it, you can change how you react to it and move on with living your life.
Life’s too short to hold grudges… and besides it is not healthy for anyone, especially you. You deserve to live life happily and fully.
If you have found that you are just not able to move forward, there are many good resources, including community mental health providers. In the United States, you can also contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK.
