This has been a very hard month, but especially this last week. We have all seen events that we thought we would never see again in the United States. My heart breaks and all this is so much to process and overwhelming. So please excuse my silence until now. Please join in the many prayers that people will unite, protect, and truly care for one another regardless of color, creed, spiritual beliefs, gender, or profession. We are all part of humanity.
Celebrating all mothers everywhere! Especially the mothers in our lives that so lovingly make our days special, including those who are remembered and missed and will always live on in our hearts. Sending you wishes for much happiness on your special day!
Happy Nurses Week… in the Year of the Nurse 2020! Maybe you are on the frontlines taking care of Covid-19 patients, or maybe you are taking care of the other patients who are urgently hospitalized such as having a baby, a sick child, or someone with a traumatic injury. Nurses are found everywhere taking care of those in need from pre-birth to the elderly and everyone in-between. Maybe you are a nurse supporting the nurses at the frontlines and patients, such as case managers, clinical nurse specialists or other advanced practice nurses. Maybe you are a nurse leader helping to insure that the nurses have a supportive and safe environment in need to care for others, including themselves and their team. Maybe you are a morale booster, a nurse leader, educator, mental health nurse, nurse researcher, or a patient advocate. Nurses wear many hats and often at the same time. Whatever type of nurse you are, all nurses are needed… You are important! Thank you for all you do! Happy Nurses Week!
