Photography ~ Places I’ve Been

Glasgow Cathedral or High Kirk, Glasgow, Scotland.

Here are some images from my 2016 trip through Scotland. I captured these with my old Nikon D50, which I have kept as my backup camera. I was so surprised when we arrived at Brig O’Doon… I thought it was only an imaginary place! I am so intrigued by the centuries and centuries of history when I travel in Europe and all the beautiful sites. I have no idea of who painted the man with the bird on the building or why, but it is just beautiful. If you know more, please enlighten us.

Unexpected Finds from the Past

It’s fun to find something you didn’t plan on when you started out. Great Americana!

A good sunny day for busy bee’s. Caught two different species working side by side on this brilliant yellow mid-west wildflower. You just never know what will catch your eye when on a walk about. Have a great day and thank you for visiting!  ~ terre

Drifting through the salt marsh

bending the tall grasses

in a sea of green.

Egrets keeping a wary eye

notice my passing by.

Smelling the warm pluff mud

under the sweating sun,

under a broad blue sky

life carries on.

Riots in the streets,

Stay away from the windows.

Lay down, sleep in peace. ~

In Others’ Words

Not Everything That Counts c

Sometimes remarks from other people are so perfect, it is just hard to improve to make them better. When I think of the things that can’t be counted, but that really matter, the first that comes to mind are bee’s and trees. How would our world be so different without them? What would be gone without pollinators? Strawberry jam for one. Maybe everything… I don’t want to find out. What other things can you think of that really count, that really matter to you, but cannot be counted?
