Photography ~ Earth Day

Nature Photography, American Robin

There is nothing like the singing of the robins to herald the return of Spring. They also are just one small, but important reminder that we are all creatures of this great planet, we call earth. Whether it is through recycling, picking up litter, carrying out our own litter so not to leave a footprint when hiking, feeding the birds, or by planting a tree; there is always something we can do to protect our earth home. Hopefully, we can all do our part so that our children, grandchildren, and all future people can enjoy what we enjoy. Happy Earth Day. ~

Random Thoughts

Kindness

It is usually much easier to be kind to those who are nice to us. While the world can always use more kindness, the grumpier or ones who are rude are often the ones who need kindness the most. This can be a challenge, but can change someone’s day. Something I have to remind myself to always remember. I don’t know their story or stand in their shoes, or they mine. But it is rarely wrong to be kind. ~

Poetry – Voices

Voices, Poetry

~ Voices ~

Voices in the night,

voices calm

or fright.

Voices caustic,

toxic,

loving,

or caring.

Voices in the daylight,

in the coffee shop,

amongst the traffic.

Voices in the day

or night.

Voices that fight,

 to conquer,

all that is silent.

Photography ~ Places I’ve Been

Glasgow Cathedral or High Kirk, Glasgow, Scotland.

Here are some images from my 2016 trip through Scotland. I captured these with my old Nikon D50, which I have kept as my backup camera. I was so surprised when we arrived at Brig O’Doon… I thought it was only an imaginary place! I am so intrigued by the centuries and centuries of history when I travel in Europe and all the beautiful sites. I have no idea of who painted the man with the bird on the building or why, but it is just beautiful. If you know more, please enlighten us.

A good sunny day for busy bee’s. Caught two different species working side by side on this brilliant yellow mid-west wildflower. You just never know what will catch your eye when on a walk about. Have a great day and thank you for visiting!  ~ terre
