The Writers Life: Words

Finding the Right Words

Uplifting and bright
today starts early
a new slate for the story.
Mine today,
these hours to come no more.

Some eyes stare at the glass half empty,
but it is half full sparkling and bright,
quenching the writer’s thirst,
the long day creeping into the deep of night.

Pages written or not
is the writer’s plight.
Either way fret not,
for tomorrow is another day
bringing yet another night.

What do you want to do differently?

Quote SecretofChange.Socrates.

Regardless of where your place in the world is, we know the world looks differently to many. But the good news is as we start to heal that we have gained wisdom from this world pandemic experience. In moving forward, what is it that you definitely want to change, do more or less of ? I have come to know the truth in that we can live with much less, which leaves more time for more important meaningful experiences and relationships in our lives. But I think I might also become less tolerant of the superficial and fake, which I will probably end up having to work on. That doesn’t mean that everything has to be deep and not light or fun. It just means there will be less response to negativity and more opportunity to focus on the positive aspects of living life with peace and calm. Please leave a comment below on what you plan to do differently?

Hope you have a day with a spot of peace and calm.

Encouragement

May your days beWhatever we can do to help encourage someone, lift them up, or just share a kind word or act of kindness; it all matters no matter how big or small. Maybe it’s just sending a card, checking by phone on someone, just calling to say hello, or just listening… Each of us can make a difference. Thank you for visiting today ~

Tenacity

Tenacity.I Survived Not Because...

There are certain times in life that seem to challenge us to overcome something.  To not just overcome, but survive and prevail. Perhaps you are in one of these times now.  If you are truly living, life just tends to bring its shares of shadows amidst the dancing and the joy.  The peaks and the valleys that change sometimes without warning.

Maybe you have been there before.  If so, what strengths or resources did you draw from to help you not only get through, but survive? What hard-learned lessons were gleaned from the past that you can build on now to help you claim victory?  You have the power.
